HandyPSK FAQ at our booth of Hamvention 2013 as follows

Q: Is HandyPSK a PSK modem like NUE-PSK?
A: No. HandyPSK is a complete, stand alone transceiver. HadyPSK will
receive and transmit the RF signal by itself with no additional radio
equipment and no PC is required for PSK operation.

Q: Can HandyPSK operate on both the 40 meter and 20 meter bands?
A: No. HandyPSK is a mono band transceiver. You need to chose desired band
when you order HandyPSK. The advantage of the mono band architecture is
that it helps HandyPSK be a very low noise receiver with high receive
dynamic range. Both of these factors are very important for effective QRPP
operations.

Q: Is 100mW enough power to be useful?
A: Yes. The PSK31 signal bandwidth is only 31 Hz. Therefor the power per
1Hz is about 3.3mW.
It is almost the same energy as a 10W SSB signal which has 3KHz bandwidth.
100mW is enough for PSK31 but you need a good, well matched antenna, a good
location, and good operating conditions.

Q: Can I attach external power amplifier?
A: Yes. A beep signal will be provided through the head phone jack when
HandyPSK is transmitting. You can easily control an external circuit or
relay using the beep signal.

Q: Can I use external battery for smart phone?
A: Yes. The HandyPSK power voltage is 5V which is same as most smart
phones or other common USB powered devices. You can use a portable charger
for smart phones to power the HandyPSK. You may also find solar powered or
hand generator type chargers that can allow you to operate the HandyPSK
even if you loose power.

Q: What is front end crystal filter architecture?
A: PSK31 is extremely narrow band. Over 30 different stations can coexist
in 3kHz of spectrum. The HandyPSK passes signals in a narrow bandwitdh,
for example from 7070 kHz to 7073 kHz.
This architecture is very helpful to reduce noise and interference.

Q: How can I operate without keyboard?
A: The HandyPSK has a rotary dial which allows you to tune the frequency.
This dial also allows you to chose any keywords from the received text.
You can extract a call sign, name, address, weather etc.. Once you chose a
word, you can store that word into a variable to be substituted by a TX
macro symbols. TX templates can be loaded from a file on a micro SD card.
You can use many different templates.

Q: How can I connect a keyboard for free text input?
A: Just plug a common PS2 computer keyboard into the HandyPSK and you can
use the keyboard to enter text.
You can also use a USB keyboard with a USB to PS2 adapter. You can use a
paddle to enter text in CW.
A small palm top computer like an HP200LX can be used as an external
keyboard for text entry.
